How to export an .eml file
Pick your email client below.
Open the email. Click it to open fully, not just preview it in the side panel.
Click the three-dot menu ⋮ in the top-right corner of the email.
Select "Download message". The .eml file saves to your Downloads folder.
Select the email in your inbox list.
Go to File → Save As, or drag the email directly from the message list to your Desktop.
Apple Mail saves as .eml by default. No format change needed.
Open the email by double-clicking it to open in its own window.
Go to File → Save As.
Mac: saves as .eml by default. Windows: change "Save as type" to Outlook Message Format - Unicode, then rename the file extension from .msg to .eml.
